Do you offer Serving Staff?
Yes we do when available. Our serving staff can hand around finger food or serve drinks, service the buffet, clear, and do dishes if needed. We only provide serving staff for events with 50 or more pax. Our charge out rate for staff is $50/hr per staff member with a minimum of 3 hours charged. If our staff stay longer than what was charged on the original invoice we will issue a ‘catch up’ invoice to capture those hours.
What are your delivery fees?
Local delivery (within 20kms from our kitchen) is charged at $40+GST. If delivery is over 20km we will quote accordingly – as a rough guide we charge $2/km. If you need us to pick up the dishes after your event we can do so for another delivery fee. Alternatively we ask that you drop our dishes back to our kitchen in Te Atatu Peninsula within 2 days of your event.
Do you hire out plates, cutlery and glasses?
We have dinner plates, dessert, bowls, cutlery, water glasses and beer glasses for hire. We don’t have wine glasses. We can also provide disposable plates and cutlery if needed. For a set of crockery (dinner plate, dessert bowl or side plate, knife, fork and spoon) we charge $4 per person. For disposables we charge $2 per person. If we don’t have what you need for your event we highly recommend Insphire, they have almost everything and will look after you.
Where are you based?
We operate out of our commercial kitchen at 570D Te Atatu Road, Te Atatu Peninsula. If you’re dropping dishes off you can either come to the front door and knock (it’s usually locked) or drive around the back of our shop through Taikata Rd.
What are your payment terms?
Once the menu and other catering details are finalised we issue an invoice with all the payment details. We ask that the invoice be paid by the day of your event. For larger events we ask for a deposit. If your catering is cancelled within 24 hours of your event we will charge 80% of the total of the invoice to cover ingredients and staff costs.
Do you do food tastings?
No we don’t. We can discuss our menus with you via email, phone or in person if you like, but it’s not feasible for us to offer samples of each menu.
